A Winter Maternity Session at Yorktown Battlefields

You may recognize Mark & Leighann from their wedding blog back in November of 2020. They were one of the few couples whose wedding wasn’t affected by COVID. The governor of Virginia had just lifted the regulations with how many people could be in a space together from 50 to 150 (or something like that) and everyone they wanted to attend was able to! How lucky!

I was so excited when Mark text me to say they were expecting and they wanted to do maternity photos. If you don’t remember, Mark and I worked together in a Financial Planning firm until I left to do photography full time in the summer of 2021. I am so over the moon excited for them to welcome their little boy, Henry this year!

We met on a chilly January evening for their maternity session. You can’t tell in the photos, but it was in the 30’s, brr. I think the battlefields were a great backdrop for this maternity session, as it is for most.
