Belle Isle + Blue Bee Engagement Session

I absolutely love Richmond Engagement Sessions! As you’ve read before, VCU is my alma mater and I live for going back to my second home for any occasion. Danielle & Jacob have me going back twice this year! Once for their Blue Bee and Belle Isle engagement session, and another time this summer for their Linden Row Inn wedding!

Hanging out with them was so fun! I love Richmond Engagement Session because I really get to know my couples. We walk and chat for close to two hours, shooting through our conversations. I like to keep our time together more laid back than photo-focused. Building this friendship is SO important to me I mean, so are your engagement photos, but I think having a good relationship with my couples well before the actual wedding is KEY to amazing wedding portraits.

Danielle and Jacob are from North Carolina. They met there and started their relationship. Jacob got a job in DC, and they had a long-distance relationship for 3 years (which, props to them). They both decided they’d had enough and met halfway in Richmond to start their life together. Danielle & Jacob’s family and closest friends will travel from hours away for their big celebration in August. I’m so excited for their wedding day!
