Meredith + Coredo | Navy Shifting Sands Wedding, Virginia Beach VA.

Meredith + Cordeo’s wedding at Shifting Sands in Virginia Beach, Va last weekend was one I won’t soon forget. I was looking forward to the day for months! Seriously, my photography mentor gave her my name when she stopped photographing weddings last year, so I knew it was one that I needed to show up for in a big way. I was thrilled to hear from her!

Meredith is originally from the greater Boston area, and her career in the military brought her to Virginia. She and Cordeo met on a dodgeball league in the area. One of their mutual friends who also played introduced them and as she would say “the rest is history”. It’s safe to say that these two are adventurous, fun loving couple and that’s what I’m always looking for with my couples. I live for beautiful outdoor engagement sessions, exploring new places. We got so lucky wandering through Pleasure House Point at their engagement session when the rain was threatening but didn’t bother us at all!

The same thing happened on their wedding day. It was due to rain at any moment, but we never had a real issue. Their ceremony was supposed to be outside in the sand of Virginia Beach, but they opted to move it indoors to keep their guests comfortable. It was a great idea, and their guests were definitely thankful.
