Do you ever get FOMO? You know, fear of missing out? Well, I knew that if I didn’t book this church wedding in Richmond, Va I was going to have serious FOMO. You may recognize one of my blog post frequent fliers, Rachel, who I’ve photographed more than any other person, ever. When she gifted Lindsey & Matthew their engagement session with me, I secretly hoped they’d show up in my inbox for their big day! I’m so thankful that my wish finally came true and Lindsey asked about capturing her day.

COVID seriously stalled Linsey and Matthew’s plans when the governor put a 25 person limit on gatherings and their venue cancelled 7 days before the wedding!! Thankfully the church was open to having their socially distanced, mask wearing ceremony and they found a restaurant who was willing to host the small group afterwards. Talk about a busy two weeks leading up to an event like this when Lindsey had to almost completely re-plan her reception! What a wonder-woman bride!

With hearts full of gratefulness, we gathered on their original date for their church wedding in Richmond, VA. It was a cool day, with the threat of rain but overall a perfect day for a wedding. We started in a beautiful hotel suite at the Hilton for Lindsey and her bridesmaids to get ready.
