When Kai and Dave asked me to come to their home to start their engagement session, I was absolutely on board. I have done plenty of newborn sessions in peoples homes, but never an engagement session. It didn’t hurt that their house is absolutely stunning! Kai sent me the Zillow listing a few weeks before the shoot and my jaw literally hit the floor. I think I’ll be doing more in home sessions!

Their romance started back in 2013 at a mutual friend’s friends-giving celebration. I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of Thanksgiving with all your best friends. It’s the literal best time! Fast forward to 2018 and they’re buying their first home together in the Richmond, Va. area (you know which one) and as they moved in their first boxes… David dropped down on one knee in their soon to be dining room and asked the question! An obvious yes, and then a whirlwind move since they left for Ireland two days later!

Kai and Dave will tie the knot in Richmond this October! I can’t wait to help them celebrate!
