Kelly and Shane; Sonesta Resort Wedding

This was a first for me! I love destination weddings, and the ability to travel to new locations for my couple’s wedding days. This particular weekend took me to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina for Shane & Kelly’s wedding day. Kelly grew up coming to Hilton Head every summer for family vacations and knew it was where she wanted to get married. As a matter of fact, her father mentioned in his speech that she was a young girl when she told her parents this. He was so happy to make this lifelong dream come true for his daughter! It was the cutest thing!

Kelly & Shane grew up near one another, and even went to the same high school but never dated. It’s a small and funny world that they met later in life and began dating. They had originally planned on getting married in May of 2020, however COVID interfered and in order to keep a Saturday date, they pushed an ENTIRE year. Thankfully the postponement worked out in their favor, as they were able to have a full guest list!

I am so thankful for Kelly & Shane and their trust in me on their wedding day! It was such a pleasure, and complete honor to be there with you on this long awaited day! Congratulations to you both!
