Where do I even begin with this Lion’s Bridge maternity session! It was an absolutely overdue catch-up with one of my oldest friends, Emily. I know, I know. I always gush over Richmond, Va. being my second home… well, Emily was a huge part of making that place feel so special. She was my college roommate! We lived in an apartment with two other girls and somehow scored the two bedrooms on the third floor right next to the washer/dryer units. I don’t know if you can sense the sarcasm in the word “score”… but yeah. I feel like even though we lived together for a year, it was an awesome year filled with so many moments that left lasting memories. Although we lost touch over the years, I was so excited when she landed in my inbox for a maternity session!
We met up for their Lion’s Bridge maternity session during the quarantine. Yes, I know. Shame on me for meeting with an at-risk person to do my non-essential work. Do not worry. CDC recommendations were met during our time together, even though both of us desperately wanted to do the typical girly scream and hug when we first got there. I’m so thankful we did because with Emily being pregnant during this pandemic, she likely won’t have a baby shower or any other celebration of her pregnancy. All they’ll have are these images, and I’m overjoyed to have captured them for her.
Emily & Jacob, I can’t wait to hear the story of baby Ruthie’s entrance into the world and to see her sweet face in June! Congratulations you two!
