David + Regina! This day has been 10 years in the making, and I am so incredibly happy for the two of you. We had a roller-coaster of emotions the week leading up to the wedding with fear of the dreaded guest of rain! We lucked out with nothing but clear sunny skies! I am so thankful for the weather’s cooperation on this one for the obvious reasons, but also because Regina had family from all across the globe to be here for the event! Who wants to come all the way to the US for a rainy wedding?!?
In preparation for a wedding day, I typically meet with my potential brides + grooms well in advance to get an idea of what they’re planning and how the day will go. Dave and Regina had decided that they would get married in a Catholic church in Mechanicsville, and then have their reception at an art gallery in Richmond. To say I was excited about their reception location is an understatement and my expectations of the space were exceeded when I walked in to see how they had decorated.
I met up with Regina at her house in Mechanicsville where she and her six bridesmaids were getting ready in their loft and then headed out to the church for her ceremony. Dave and Regina opted for a Catholic ceremony with Philippino traditions. It was a beautiful event, with very meaningful ceremonies intermingled within and it fit them perfectly!
Congratulations Dave & Regina, and thank you so very much for inviting me to celebrate with you!
Great way to end the evening is a performance of “Let it Go”!
