Madeline + Owen had the most wonderful Barnes at Timberneck wedding. Full of family, friends, food, and dancing! I am so honored to have been a small part of their amazing wedding day.
You see, Madeline + Owen met in college but Owen didn’t have the courage to speak to Madeline for quite some time. Once he did, the sparks started to fly and then spent ALL of their time together… frequently at “their tree” on Fort Monroe. They had a lot of meaningful conversations next to that tree. They talked about school, their future, and eventually, Owen dropped down on one knee and proposed at their tree.
One of my favorite things to witness on a wedding day is the first look. Owen and Madeline were both anxious for this moment. I love being a part of the first look because it’s the moment when they both realize that it’s here. They’ve planned and planned and now their wedding day has officially arrived! Owen wiped tears away during their private first look as he took in all of Madeline’s beauty! I have to admit, I was holding back tears as well.
This was my first time to a Barnes at Timberneck wedding, and I have to admit that I’m hooked. It is a photographer’s dream. It is located on a beautiful piece of land in Surry, Va. There are multiple barns used as getting ready spaces angled in a way to sit as background to a ceremony (as seen below). The larger barn used for the receptions is beautiful! It’s permanent decor and high ceilings are killer!
