It was a much-awaited Richmond engagement session. As you all very well know by now, a little piece of my heart lives in Richmond. I spend a few years there for college (at VCU) and I now feel like it’s a second home. It’s always heartwarming when I get to pop back into town for a wedding or an engagement session.
This trip I met Linda + Daniel for their Richmond Engagement session, and was so thrilled at their enthusiasm and their love for one another! Their story is unique in that I haven’t ever heard one quite like it. Both in ministry, they met in Seminary in Richmond. She was a prospective student and he was an upperclassman, they shared wonderful conversation over lunch and then he walked her to class, what a gentleman! Linda enrolled, and their paths crossed again as they sat next to one another in a class. Linda recalls Daniel tried to work with her at every opportunity.
Their engagement story… swoon! Daniel asked Linda to meet him at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens one afternoon. She was surprised with a scavenger hunt where each stop she picked up a friend! And after collecting all of these friends along the gardens’ path, Linda and crew went to the orchid room of the garden’s greenhouse and found Daniel with a single rose, his signature bowtie, and a very beautiful ring.
I cannot wait to celebrate them in May of 2020!
