Where do I even start with Kai & David’s Havana 59 Wedding? Richmond Va is such a special place to me, and I was thrilled to spend some time there with Kai + David on their wedding day. I met with Kai and her girls at a stunning AirBNB in Churchill, seriously the place was beautiful. There was a very relaxed, chill vibe but everyone seemed ready for a fun-filled day.

Kai was very much a “let’s see where this day takes us” kind of bride, which was refreshing! We didn’t have specific things in mind for photos, Bri and I just photographed the day as it unfolded! Some of the moments you’ll see in this blog post are completely true, raw moments we captured which was so beautiful!

The first look was a little orchestrated. I always have to find great light for a first look… so I did just that! They were so sweet at that moment. Even though they had walked their dog earlier that morning, David’s eyes teared up when he saw her. Oh, and YES. That is a green velvet suit jacket David is wearing. You saw that right!

I loved spending this day with them and celebrating hard with their friends. I’ve never been to a wedding reception quite like this one. It was like a club, no kidding. Bri and I couldn’t help but dance bc the playlist was dope! The perfect mix of fun energetic hip hop, to pop-punk, and 90’s hits! I loved it so much!
