We had never met, Sydney and I, but we had spoken over facetime a few times. It’s always a gamble when you haven’t worked with a couple. I always push for an engagement session, but with Sydney + Matt living in Colorado, it seemed out of the question. I was more nervous than usual but as soon as I met Sydney “IRL”, all of the fear went away! It didn’t seem like I hadn’t ever met her before but more like I hadn’t seen her in a while. She is someone who I feel like I would be actual friends with if she lived in the area. You know what I mean, right? It was so easy to work with Sydney and all of her girls! I’m so thankful when easy-going brides hire me. They made my job so much easier! What else made my job easier? Well, any beautiful and classic downtown Richmond wedding is a great start!
We started at the Berkeley Hotel in downtown Richmond where Sydney and her bridesmaids had the entire suite upstairs. There was a beautiful terrace outside of their room leading out into the city skyline. It was a beautiful (yet windy) day downtown and using the terrace for bridesmaids shots was perfect! After everyone was ready for the wedding, we hopped on the Carytown trolley to meet with the guys and get these two hitched! Sydney and Matt married at the church they met it, which is the sweetest thing ever and then danced and dined at Sam Millers.
Congratulations you two! I hope you enjoyed your trip to Jamaica, and I hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane as you scroll through these images of your wedding day!
