Engagements

I was so stoked to meet up with Madeline and Owen for their Barnes at Timberneck Engagement last week. I remember getting her first email. She said “I fell in love with your photos”, and I thought “WOW, how freaking awesome is that?! Of all the photographers in the world, she picks me!”. We had never met before, but when we did finally catch up at a local Starbucks I loved Madeline’s sweet smile and fun personality. I knew as soon as I sat down with her and Owen that they were going to be the most perfect AHP couple!

We met at their wedding venue, which is a house with Barnes out in the countryside of Surry, Va. for their Barnes at Timberneck Engagement. This was the first time I’ve shot an engagement session exclusively at the wedding venue which was such fun for me. I kept thinking that we could re-create this shot on the wedding day, and that shot too! It was great to see the location beforehand and get a good feel for what the feel of their wedding day!

Despite the overcast and the wind, we had a blast together. I loved spending some quality time and getting to know them more. They love each other so very much, and it was evident in the entire session. I loved this evening together and we can’t wait to see them again in just a few short weeks for their wedding day!!! Yay!!!
